Smart Recommendations is a new module that continuously analyzes the inventory and surfaces prioritized, categorized insights so IT teams can identify and resolve critical issues without manually navigating reports. Each recommendation includes key metrics, contextual charts, and direct actions like filtered Explorer views or automation setup. Recommendations respect user permissions, can be snoozed, and rated to improve relevance over time.

Databases approaching or past end of life (EoL) or end of support (EoS) are now automatically identified, giving IT teams timely visibility to prioritize upgrades and reduce outage, security, and compliance risks.

Hardware approaching or past end of support (EoS) is now automatically identified and consolidated into a single report, so IT teams can anticipate obsolescence risks and plan replacements on time.

Contracts now support a Hardware Leasing modality, allowing organizations to manage leased hardware agreements alongside the rest of their contract data in a single platform. This consolidates contract governance and supports more complex asset and contract management scenarios.

The assets Explorer now supports a new 'is in custom set' filter operator, letting users type, paste, or scan multiple values to instantly retrieve all matching assets. The operator is available for Serial Number, Asset ID, and Inventory ID, simplifying bulk lookups against externally provided device lists.

The Acquisition Type field now includes three additional values — Donated, Replacement, and Demonstration — covering common asset intake scenarios that previously required workarounds. This improves data accuracy and enables more meaningful reporting on how assets enter the inventory.

Tags can now be assigned to Locations and used as filter and grouping criteria in the Locations Explorer. This enables flexible classification of locations — by region, compliance zone, business unit, or any user-defined criteria — without requiring custom fields.

Automerge now treats serial numbers as case-insensitive, correctly merging assets that share the same serial number with different letter casing.

Fixed an issue where Microsoft Surface laptops were incorrectly identified as virtual machines.

An activity entry is now generated when the Intune synchronization changes an asset's status, preserving traceability of automatic status updates.

The Software mini-explorer now correctly filters by the scope of the selected computer when adding software from within a Business Application diagram.

Resolved an error that prevented Chromebook records from being imported via CSV when a custom Configuration Item type with a similar name already existed in the instance.

Lifecycle and custom Configuration Item type names now correctly accept edits that change only the letter casing, where previously the change was rejected as a duplicate name.

Scheduled custom view reports now run at their configured frequency, resolving an issue where the next execution date could be calculated incorrectly and skip scheduled runs.

The GCP Cloud Discovery configuration form now remains usable when invalid credentials are provided, displaying a clearer validation error.

Merging mobile assets discovered by both the Agent and Intune now correctly combines data from both sources, preserving fields such as MAC address, IMEI, serial number, phone number, and operating system.

The Format field on Computer and Server can now be edited after creation, making it possible to correct values set during import or manual entry. Assets managed by an external discovery source remain protected to prevent data conflicts.

Windows computers and servers now display two additional OS fields: the full Windows Build (combining build number and Update Build Revision, e.g. 19045.6456) and the OS Display Version (e.g. 22H2, 23H2). Both fields are available as columns and filters in the Explorer, and are shown in the asset's OS profile section.

When manually merging assets, the resulting asset now includes all Service Management requests and notes from both records, ensuring complete traceability.

Resolved an issue where manually merging an Agent-sourced asset with a Hyper-V-sourced asset caused the Hardware section and its tab to be lost in the resulting asset.

Active Directory Discovery no longer imports disabled computers when Auto Import Devices is enabled.

Resolved an error that caused M365 subscription sync to fail when a person had more than one Cloud Software User record for the same software, leaving subsequent syncs in a broken state.

Cloud Assets now support a Status property — using the same lifecycle states defined in Settings — so untracked or removed resources can be marked as Deleted and excluded from Explorer views without consuming a license. When a resource is no longer reported by an integration it is automatically set to Deleted, and AWS, Azure, and GCP discovery sources now include a configurable Remove Action to control this behavior.

Business Application diagrams now suggest relationships between Cloud Assets based on predefined infrastructure patterns for AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes resources. This makes it faster to map cloud infrastructure accurately without having to define each connection manually.

A new Geolocation permission is now available under Roles > Modules and Functionalities, allowing administrators to control which roles have access to geolocation data across the product.

Unapproved agents that failed due to an inventory error can now be ignored from the Discovery screen.

We added a new field that shows the last time an asset’s agent reported data. This provides clearer visibility into agent connectivity and helps teams quickly identify devices that may not be reporting properly.

Application Services discovery now includes Linux devices. Services exposed by running software on Linux machines are automatically detected and can be created as Configuration Items.

This feature enables users to filter CIs by identifying properties that are empty or unset, improving data quality visibility and cleanup workflows. It introduces a new filter operator that allows users to explicitly specify whether a field is empty (yes/no), making it easier to surface incomplete records and enforce data consistency. By providing a native way to query missing values directly within existing filtering capabilities, the feature supports auditing, reporting, and operational use cases where completeness of CI attributes is critical.

This feature supports audit use cases by enabling reporting on Windows computers that contain local users with administrative privileges. A new filter, “Has local privileged users,” will be added to the Computers family and exposed in the standard search bar, along with two new columns in the asset Explorer: “Has local privileged users,” which indicates whether the condition is met (empty for non-Windows assets), and “Local privileged users,” which lists the qualifying administrator accounts. The goal is to give auditors a quick, centralized way to identify machines with privileged local access.

We fixed an issue where computer usage time was not displayed in some cases, even though activity had been recorded. Usage information is now shown correctly whenever activity data is available, ensuring accurate visibility into device usage.

vCenter datastore profiles now correctly display storage capacity values from the VMware integration instead of showing 0 MB.

Business Application diagrams now automatically suggest relationships with consumed Application Services, helping you build dependency maps faster and keep them accurate with less manual effort.

Android devices are now named using their hostname instead of the phone model, making it easier to distinguish between multiple devices of the same model.
