Asset Management Releases

For teams working with hardware lists coming from outside Asset Management, a new 'is in list' operator is now available in the asset search bars and across advanced filters. Users can paste or scan a list of identifiers - serial number, hostname, asset name, asset ID, inventory ID, or owner employee ID - and find hundreds of matching assets in a single search.

A CSV file can now be uploaded to instantly fill a Purchase Order with multiple line items. This eliminates manual entry for large orders or vendor quotes, saving time when processing bulk procurement data.

Locations now support full permission-based visibility, replacing the previous all-or-nothing access model. Administrators can restrict access by tags, by a specific set of locations, or by subtree — a hierarchical mode that automatically includes any new locations added beneath a selected branch.

The Discovery view now lists all Network Discovery and Active Directory sources in a searchable, multi-select filter. Teams no longer need to remember or type exact source names to narrow down results, and can review devices from several sources together with a single selection.

The currency symbol for the Dominican Peso (DOP) is now eligible for currency settings.

Search results in the Discovery Sources view now remain stable when a running discovery updates in the background.

The Connected Devices modal in the Interfaces section now consistently shows the correct number of devices, without duplicating entries each time the modal is reopened.

The 'View in Explorer' button on vCenter profiles now correctly applies filters to show only the related ESXi hosts or virtual machines for that specific vCenter.

The model field returned by the assets-lite/detail API endpoint now correctly reflects the commercial model name, consistent with what is shown in the UI.

Resolved an issue where rapidly clicking the owner or location field in an asset profile could trigger simultaneous edits, causing the field to toggle incorrectly on low-resource machines.

Relationship suggestions are now surfaced directly inside Business Application diagrams. Users can identify and confirm relevant dependencies while modeling, without searching for them elsewhere, making it easier to keep Business Applications accurate and complete.

Tags can now be used in the Cloud Assets explorer, bringing it in line with the Assets explorer. A new Tags column is available with its own column filter, and Tags are also included in the advanced filter, making it easier to classify, group and query cloud resources using the same criteria already applied across the inventory.

Cloud assets can now have an owner assigned, bringing them in line with other Configuration Items in InvGate Asset Management. This makes it easier to identify who is responsible for each cloud resource, improving accountability and traceability across the inventory.

You can now generate a PDF of any Purchase Order directly from its profile. The document includes all order details, line items, and financial summary, ready to share with vendors or use for internal approval workflows.

Business Application diagrams now open centered on the most relevant Configuration Item instead of fixed (0;0) coordinates. The same Fit to screen behavior applies to both the preview and full-screen views, making complex diagrams readable without manual repositioning.

The public API asset-lite POST endpoint now correctly accepts the asset_type_code field when creating assets.

The Status column filter in the Windows > Updates tab of the Update Explorer now correctly returns results when filtering by states such as Pending or Installed.

When converting Purchase Order items to assets, the Serial Number field is no longer required; items without a serial number can now be converted successfully.
